Do you think you'll ever recover?

Post by calorified on Thu 24 Jul - 13:57

For me, I don' think it's a realistic thing. I can't imagine not having an ED, nor what I'd do without it.

I think recovery is just subduing the ED behaviors, but it never truly goes away. It can always come back like during times of extreme stress.

This. I have gone back and forth, but overall I will never have a healthy mentality on food or my body.  Sad

    I've been considering it.
Why keep up with something so ouchful? (I don't like using the word painful)
But then I think, 'No, I'm not bad enough'

I have a hard time imagining what it would be like not to be like this.

Well I am sure I could but I don't want to, at least not yet. So, until I decide I want to I will not be able to recover. I was in residential for 3 months but all that did was get my weight up and convince my family that I am recovered.

I don't know. I think sometimes I can eat normally. And almost seem normal. But I always go back. I don't really see the seriousness of it. I've always been able to stop when it starts to seem like my health is at risk. I don't think I'm sick.
